Eliminating cards fills four meters, based on the card's type, and you can then use these points to deploy powers that you collect as you play. These all disappear if you die, but you can unlock new decks and deck-based power-ups that give you a stronger advantage against your foes, each of which have different abilities you have to defeat. It's really well thought out, beautiful to look at and fun to play.
