Ellen Perry, of San Carlos, a Lindy Hop learner, said, “I always wanted to get up the nerve to learn to swing dance, and this place gave me the courage. I’m slowly getting down the moves and meeting nice people at the same time. But most important, when done right, the Lindy Hop looks really cool.”. And how does she feel about the closing of the place where all this cool stuff happens?. “Now, that I’m ready to fly and it feels like I actually know what I’m doing a little bit,” said Perry, “the place is closing.
